Hi! I'm Holli Miner, realtor and home stager :) My college degree is actually in Occupational Therapy; I started my own OT business (Flexibil-OT, Inc) and practiced in all types of settings for over 20 years.  In 2008 I got my real estate license in another state; we jumped into the rental market so it just made sense for me to be my own agent; for several years I split my working time between OT and RE.  We moved back to NC in 2012 and I worked in OT for a couple years, but once again we decided to get back into investment properties so I got my real estate license here too and gradually transitioned to a full-time agent. I became an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) to hone my skills working with buyers, and to add to my repertoire as a listing agent, I began experimenting with home staging.  The first two properties I staged were investment properties; one for a friend, and one was our own personal flip.  I saw very, very quickly that the staging makes a HUGE difference; both properties sold so fast.  I started accumulating furniture to use for staging my own listings and started working with other agents; I had furniture and accessories in my garage, in a shed, and in 3 different storage units around town.  I look back on those days and have no idea how I did it… everything at that time was in total chaos lol.  

In 2017 I decided to add this new endeavor to my real estate career as an official business and started Southern Charm Home Staging.  Over the next year I designed the website, branded myself, marketed my business to my realtor friends and community, purchased a 16’ box truck, and FINALLY found warehouse space in Surf City;  I share half of a 5000 sqft building with a contractor friend and it is absolutely perfect.  I call it my happy place and I mean that!  I LOVE real estate and staging.  It is extremely hard work but it is so worth it; it’s satisfying to me as the designer to see a truck full of furniture and “pretties” unloaded into a cold, plain space and then arranged to transform a blank, boring house into a warm, welcoming home.  AND it is satisfying to my sellers when they receive positive feedback and a buyer falls so in love they want to make it their own; I take a lot of pride in my work and my only goal, whether as a realtor or stager or both, is to get the home sold quickly and for top dollar.  Here are some examples of just a couple of the many homes I have staged and sold:
